Who am I?

Really, I'm just some girl who has no other photos of herself so you're getting a random one of me holding a random surfboard at a bar on my 30th (yes, I'm 30) birthday and another one of me stuffing my face (also on my 30th birthday!). Beside that, I am also just some girl who is starting to blog about running because everyone around me is (probably) sick of hearing me talk about it/doesn't really care! Hopefully that's not the case :) I'm a New Yorker, born and bred, avid runner lawyer girl. I also love traveling and eating. I strive to combine all three as much as possible. I'm not super fast, nor am I a professional anything. I've never won a race in my life (and I probably never will). I just entered a new age group and am pretty bummed about it so this year my goal is to become as fast as possible.

I started running and racing (not professionally, obvi) during law school when I lived right next to the Hudson. I ran because I was stressed. Two miles turned into six turned into marathons. As of today (January 2013), I've completed three full marathons, five half marathons, and countless shorter distance races.  I'm an endurance runner, which means I like going the distance, but I'm not necessarily the fastest (see above goal).

So read along and most importantly, share your thoughts with me as I run and eat my way through this world.
